The Winter Forecast

"Winter will be colder than normal, with above-normal precipitation and snowfall.

The photo is dated January 5, 2016, the first snow in Westview last winter.

Horned Grebe

Horned Gebes are winter-only residents here, migrating in from the interior, and from October

till early spring they are very common off the Seawalk. They are a very curious bird, and will often
come in close to shore to check out the photographer.

Lest We Forget

"Click!"

This River Otter at the South Harbour heard the click of my camera's shutter, but couldn't

place the sound as coming from above, the ramp going down to floats 7-11.

A Dark Wood
