Cormorant

This time of year the Double-crested Cormorant is one of the most common birds at our coastal harbours,
this one occupying the dolphin on the north side of the Westview Wharf. Their namesake
crests won't appear till breeding season.  A dull bird for looks, the only
thing going for them is those aqua-blue eyes.

  1. Nice photos. Never used to have them in Ontario. Now they spend their summer here and disappear in winter.
