Great Blue Herons are ubiquitous on our coast, and over the years I have taken many photos of them,
with this shot of a young Heron, taken March 2015, remaining one of my favourites of the species. It
was so concentrated on getting its next meal that it completely ignored me as I maneuvered
in for this great angle and took several shots.
And that is a great angle for the shot. We still see a heron up at the cabin once in a while. He'll come stand on our log boom to catch the little fish that swim nearby. It's too far away though for me to get a good picture. - Margy
