I think toys today have gotten very sophisticated compared to those we played with in the days of yore (and that I now actually see from time to time in antique stores).
I remember Tonka trucks and toys, but I didn't have any. I had wooden trucks my dad made just like the ones he made for Mom's kindergarten classroom. There were also painted wooden farm animals. When I started teaching I got all of my mom's collection when she retired. The apple didn't fall too far from the tree. - Margy
