Now, And Then

The Wildwood switchback trail last month, and, below, 8 years ago to the month.
Since the 2008 photo was taken the wood railing has slowly
disintegrated, and there isn't much of it left complete.
Which is a shame.

  1. It looks like at least a portion of the railing took a beating from that downed tree. But it sure doesn't look very solid now.

  2. What a big change for only eight years. Looks like repairs after storms isn't happening. There are a lot of parks in the States where railings and buildings were constructed by WPA crews during the Depression. Lots of those are still going strong. - Margy
