Life On The Edge

The edge of a Seaspan chip barge that is. Harbours provide a safe haven for more than just boats, and Sea Lions have been
making the Catalyst mill harbour a haven for many years. The mill crews have never been impressed - these beasts
are loud, smelly and very dirty.

  1. They might be loud, smelly and dirty but the tourist love them.

  2. We were buttonholed by a seal/sea lion advocate in Oregon who was dismayed at the treatment of a very big colony of these critters who'd taken over a big area of docks in a marina. We'd just spent a night in a hotel nearby, listening to them barking. We didn't exactly share her sympathies.
