Prawn Season - II

The season officially opens today at noon, and there was a good bit of activity in the harbour

yesterday as the boats got ready to go out. This prawn fisherman was baiting and stowing

his 300 traps in preparation for today's opening.

A retired life in Powell River, my home for over 40 years. Photos of people, events, scenery, birds, floral and whatever else happens to catch my eye between Saltery Bay and Lund. The photos will be a mix of current photos and those pulled from my ever growing archive, but all will be taken by myself. While Powell River is home, I do occasionally leave town, and that also will be reflected here.

Unfortunately I'm dealing with a few issues that require me to at least temporarily slow down on the photography and the blogging. The joys of getting old!

So I'll still post, but definitely a bit erratically.
