They'd Rather Be ...

Yesterday the local yacht club held their annual Algerine Race to Comox, but as you can note by the flat
water, there wasn't any wind to speak of, and there was more motoring than sailing.
Nine boats I counted, here's a few.

  1. At least the lack of wind gave you the opportunely to get some marvelous photos.

  2. It seems like it's either feast or famine when it comes to wind, doesn't it? The scenery may help compensate for the lack of wind.

  3. I'm a terrible sailor. I love calm water. In the powerboat it takes us 25 minutes to get from the cabin to the Shinglemill. Tacking in a light wind using the small sailboat it takes us four hours. But if we can catch even a small breeze going home with the spinnaker it's only about two hours. But I guess we have all the time in the world. - Margy
